Henry Poem

There’s a spider that dwells above my bathtub
I watch him grow week by week
My roommates haven’t noticed him
But I know beneath their betraying whispers
And shifty eyes
His wickedness seeps into their bare skin
Watching ladies bathe must be a good life for a spider
But I fear he will die soon
Because in a place of great renewal and cleansing
Flies and insects rarely find their way in.
