‘Scream’ is an American anthology slasher television series that used to air on MTV but currently airs on VH1. The show is also available on Netflix. Developed by Jill Blotevogel, Dan Dworkin, and Jay Beattie, the show is based on Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven’s immensely popular slasher movie franchise, ‘Scream’.
A relatively old show, Season 1 of ‘Scream’, consisting of 10 episodes, premiered on MTV on September 1, 2015. A month later, on October 1, 2015, the show became available for streaming on Netflix everywhere in the world except for the US, where it became available on May 13, 2016. On July 29, 2015, the show was picked up by MTV for a 14-episode second season, which premiered on May 30, 2016, and became available on Netflix on September 30, 2016. Season 2 saw its conclusion air on October 18, 2016, by when a third season had already been greenlit by MTV. After encountering several delays, Season 3 finally made its way to viewers screens on May 30, 2019.
As far as reception goes, ‘Scream’ has an overall score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes – while the first season received a poor score of 48%, the second season made up for it, with a score of 86%. Viewers, however, seem to have enjoyed the slasher show in general, and on IMDb, ‘Scream’ has a good overall rating of 7.3/10 based on nearly 30,000 votes.
Scream Cast: Who is in it?

Willa Fitzgerald plays the role of Emma Duval, a popular high school student who is somehow tied to the dark past of the fictional town of Lakewood, where the events in the show unfold. Bex Taylor-Klaus, meanwhile, plays the role of Emma’s best friend and a bi-curious filmmaker, Audrey Jensen. John Karna steps into the shoes of the nerdy horror film geek Noah Foster, while Amadeus Serafini plays the role of Emma’s love interest Kieran Wilcox. Connor Well plays the role of Emma’s ex-boyfriend Will Belmont, and Carlson Young plays Emma’s other best friend, the beautiful Brooke Maddox.
Other main cast members include Jason Wiles as former Lakewood sheriff Clark Hudson, Tracy Middendorf as Emma’s mother Maggie Duval, Kiana Brown as Zoe Vaughn, Santiago Segura as Gustavo “Stavo” Acosta.
