‘Living With Yourself’ prompts you to ask yourself- Do we really want to be better? The series is a philosophical sitcom being executed on the concept of becoming a better person and attaining improvement which is a mature decision to make, and working towards it, which is even wiser. This Netflix project is created and written by Timothy Greenberg and stars Paul Rudd of Antman (Marvel) fame. They also serve as executive producers on the show along with Anthony Bregman, Jeff Stern, Tony Hernandez, Jonathan Dayton, Valerie Faris, and Jeffrey Blitz. Dayton and Faris, best known for directing ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and ‘Battle of the Sexes’, also sit on the director’s chair for various episodes.
The series revolves around a man struggling in life and going through various ups and downs, who eventually undergoes a treatment to become a better person but later on, finds that he has come out as a better person, having been replaced by his improved version. ‘Living with Yourself’ was first given the green light last year at AMC Networks-owned IFC, but it never moved forward at that time. However, on August 10, 2018, it was announced that the project will go ahead with Netflix providing production for the first season consisting of eight episodes.
Living With Yourself Cast: Who’s in it?
The lead star of ‘Living With Yourself’ is Paul Rudd. Rudd’s previous collaborations with Netflix include neo-noir sci-fi ‘Mute’, comedy-drama ‘The Fundamentals of Caring’, and the prequel series of ‘Wet Hot American Summer franchise’, ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp’. He has appeared in popular movies like ‘Clueless‘, ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’ and ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’. His most popular role came in the form of Scott Lang in MCU’s ‘Ant-Man’. He has reprised the role in the sequel, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, ‘ Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. He has previously graced television screens with guest roles in ‘Friends‘ and ‘Parks and Recreation‘. ‘Living With Yourself’ is his first major television role.
Aisling Bea stars alongside Rudd in a major role. She is an award-winning stand-up comedian and has been a part of many British comedies, such as ‘Cardinal Burns’, ‘Trollied’ and ‘The Delivery Man’. She has also worked in British crime dramas, ‘The Fall’ and ‘Hard Sun’. Her other acting credits include shows like ‘Plebs’, ‘Drunk History’, ‘Playhouse Presents’ and ‘Dead Boss’.

Desmin Borges is set to appear in the show as a character named Dan. His is best known for playing the role of Edgar Quintero in FXX’s ‘You’re the Worst‘. His upcoming project includes Amazon Video’s American adaptation of British series, ‘Utopia’ by Gillian Flynn. He has also appeared in ‘Preacher‘, ‘Madam Secretary’, ‘The Good Wife‘ and ‘Private Life’.
